The geological conditions of coal mines are very complicated, and various types of disasters and accidents are prone to occur, thus affecting the safe production of coal mines. Based on previous work experience, this paper summarizes the characteristics of virtual reality technology and the development and implementation methods of mine virtual reality system, and discusses the specific application forms of virtual reality technology in coal mine safety production from three aspects: the composition of Qualcomm virtual coal mine system, the role of Qualcomm virtual coal mine disaster accident and the role of Qualcomm virtual coal mine knowledge evaluation.

The contents of Qualcomm virtual coal mine system constitute nine accident recovery systems of virtual coal mine.

The virtual coal mine system contains two major coal mine contents: one is the coal mine accident safety experience system, the other is the coal mine knowledge evaluation system; 9 accident experience items, such as roof caving accident, underground fire accident, underground water seepage accident, scraper conveyor driver, track sports car accident, falling accident, maintenance electric shock accident, mechanical injury accident and gas explosion accident; 15 job safety risk identification and evaluation project, including driller, blaster, shearer driver, scraper conveyor driver, belt conveyor driver, underground electrical fitter, roadheader driver, anchor support worker, scraper loader driver, small winch driver, support worker, loader driver, groundwater exploration engineer, signal hook worker and rockburst.
