Although assassination has a long history in China, assassination in the modern sense originated in Europe. 1688 or so, French field marshal Vauban fixed the bayonet on the barrel with a collar. This detachable bayonet makes the musket have both shooting and stabbing functions, which plays an important role in the battlefield.
In the history of our army, assassination once played a very important role. The assassination accompanied the growth of our army and can be traced back to the early days of the founding of the army. At that time, the Red Army was small in number and poorly equipped. Bayonets are important weapons of the Red Army. Although it is often used in combat, it has not formed standardized movements and training routines.
It was not until the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China that an assassination training system with the characteristics of our army was initially formed. During the period of 1948, Teacher Su of Northeast Military and Political University compiled the first assassination training textbook of our army, entitled "The Stab of the People's Liberation Army". "Liberation Stab" not only absorbed the advantages of "Japanese Stab", "Su Stab" and "Hua Stab" (the assassination action of the Kuomintang army), but also integrated into the traditional martial arts action of China, which achieved good results after being popularized by the whole army.
With the continuous development of weapons and equipment, hand-to-hand combat is obviously reduced, and the status and role of bayonet are declining. In the early 1990s, assassination training gradually faded out of the training ground; In 2004, the military academy was reformed, and the assassination teaching group that had existed since the establishment of 1953 was abolished.
Although the "Military Training Program" promulgated in 2009 once again included assassination as a military physical training subject, at that time, many troops did not really carry out assassination training because of too many "debts" such as venues, talents and equipment, but only organized some assassination drills with fixed routines according to the teaching materials. In 20 18, assassination was put on the training agenda again in the new Military Sports Training Outline, and the whole army assassination training course came into being, which provided an important opportunity for assassination recovery.
In the new historical period, there are few opportunities for close-range assassination, but assassination has its own advantages, and its hidden "invisible value" makes it still meet the requirements of training in the new era.
Assassination is of direct significance for cultivating soldiers' fighting spirit and shaping good psychological quality. Our army had a slogan during the war years: "Dare to see the red with a bayonet!" Through assassination training, we will strengthen the confidence of officers and men who dare to fight and win, and build an indestructible psychological defense line.
At West Point Military Academy, every year freshmen will experience such a scene: holding bayonet rifles and shouting: "What is the assassination spirit?" "Kill the enemy!" "What does the grass grow on?" "blood!" Training in the high noise of shouting and killing makes the students feel that they are on the battlefield.
At the same time, assassination is of practical significance for improving soldiers' combat skills. As the last fighting means and hand-to-hand combat tool, bayonet is still an indispensable and important equipment for soldiers. Now all countries in the world attach great importance to assassination training, even in foreign special forces equipped with the latest modern weapons and equipment, assassination training still accounts for a certain proportion.
Today, American, Russian and British troops are still conducting assassination training. Especially in the special operations forces of various countries, assassination training is an important skill to destroy the enemy in close combat, and the assassination technology is still practical and effective, and assassination training is in full swing. In the future battlefield, assassination is a very practical combat skill, and it is also one of the skills that soldiers must master if they want to save themselves and destroy the enemy in melee.
In addition, assassination can become part of the culture of military camps. Assassination performance and organization of assassination competition in the army can enliven the cultural atmosphere of the army and reflect the mental outlook of the army. For example, you can take the training of thorns as a sports activity at ordinary times, and you can also compete in thorns in your spare time. The competition needs simple venues and equipment, and the rules are simple and easy to implement. Two out of three or three out of five can win, which not only enriches the cultural life of the military camp, but also exercises the physical quality of the participants.
