(1) Holding a valid crew service book;

(2) Meet the following age requirements:

1, female crew members are under 60 years old and male crew members are under 65 years old;

2. Anyone who applies for a certificate of competency as a captain or officer of a seagoing vessel shall be at least 20 years old;

3. Those who apply for the Certificate of Competency for Sailors and Machinists on Duty shall be at least 18 years old;

(three) to complete the education and training of the corresponding crew as stipulated in these rules;

(4) Having the maritime service qualification as stipulated in these Rules and a good maritime safety record;

(5) meeting the standards for physical examination of seafarers, especially the standards for eyesight, hearing and language;

(6) Having passed the competency examination and assessment stipulated in these Rules, and having completed the on-board training or internship stipulated in these Rules;

Article 14 of the Rules for Examination, Assessment and Certification of Seamen's Competency in People's Republic of China (PRC) shall apply for the examination and assessment of captain or deck crew promotion, and shall meet the following maritime service qualifications:

(1) The person who applies for the Certificate of Competency for the Crew on Duty shall have worked on the ship in the corresponding navigation area and ship category for 6 months;

(2) To apply for the Grade III certificate of competency, the applicant shall hold the certificate of competency of seafarers on duty in the corresponding navigation area and ship category, and have actually worked for 12 months;

(3) Those who apply for the competency certificate of the first mate should hold two competency certificates of the corresponding navigation area and ship type, and have actually worked for 12 months;

(4) To apply for the captain's competency certificate, the applicant shall hold the first mate's competency certificate of the corresponding navigation area and ship class, and have actually worked for 18 months.
