The Chinese Medical Association and the Critical Care Medicine Branch of the Chinese Medical Association organized a project to train the qualifications of critical care medicine and establish a special team of members. This training course has two training programs. One is the national ICU doctor training class, called trainee class, and the other is trainee teacher training, called teacher class. Teachers participating in the training must be members of the Critical Care Medicine Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, young members or directors of provincial professional societies. This training course has been held for more than 100, and more than 20,000 ICU doctors have received "5C" training.
