What is the provision of Article 14 of the Physician Law?
Article 14 of the Medical Doctor Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) stipulates that after registration, doctors can practice in medical and health institutions and engage in corresponding medical and health services according to the registered practice place, practice category and scope. Doctors of traditional Chinese medicine and integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine can practice in the traditional Chinese medicine department, integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine department or other clinical departments of medical institutions according to the registered practice category and scope. Doctors who have passed relevant professional training and examinations can increase their scope of practice. Where laws and administrative regulations provide for the qualifications of doctors in a specific scope of practice, such provisions shall prevail. Chinese medicine doctors who have obtained the qualification of doctors through examination may, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the state, adopt the technical methods of western medicine related to their majors in their practice activities and pass the training and examination. In accordance with the relevant provisions of the state, western doctors can adopt the technical methods of traditional Chinese medicine related to their majors in their practice after passing the training and examination.
