Yiyang Medical College, located in Yiyang City, Hunan Province, is a full-time general higher vocational college approved by the Hunan Provincial People's Government and filed by the Ministry of Education. Yiyang Medical College was founded in August, 1950, formerly known as Yiyang Health School. Hunan Health Technical School has experienced the development stages of Yiyang Nurse Department, Yiyang Nurse School, Yiyang Midwife School, Yiyang District Health School and Yiyang Health School, and was upgraded to Yiyang Medical College with the approval of the Ministry of Education in March 2007.
