The School of Shipbuilding consists of the Department of Navigation Technology, the Department of Maritime Management, the Research Center for Maritime Traffic Safety and Environment, the Sailor Training Center, the Navigation Simulation Center and the Experiment Center. A complete education level from junior college to doctoral degree has been established, with doctoral degrees and master's degrees in two undergraduate majors: traffic information engineering and control, navigation technology and maritime management. In 2007, there were more than 900 undergraduates and postgraduates. The college has complete hardware and software facilities for teaching and scientific research, including full-mission large-scale ship maneuvering simulation room, navigation and simulator room, computer simulation room, ship art training room and water crew training base.
