"1949 Beijing city sand table" has always been the most attractive exhibit in the ancient architecture museum. However, due to the age, the monotonicity of sand table display has become more and more obvious. To this end, the ancient museum started the renovation project. After the transformation, the sand table is completely new, and the circuit system is added inside. By controlling the lighting, the operator can let the audience know more clearly and accurately the pattern of old Beijing and the main cultural relics resources.

A large screen projector was added next to the sand table. During the visit to the sand table, dozens of pictures of precious cultural relics such as the old Beijing city wall and the Forbidden City turret will be scrolled on the big screen. The museum has also added a computer touch screen to facilitate the audience to master the first-hand information of old Beijing pictures and texts.

Collection of ancient buildings museum

The main collections of Beijing Ancient Architecture Museum include "Model of the Old City of Beijing", caisson of Long Fu Temple in Beijing, an orphan of caisson art in China, a miniature model of the Temple of Heaven in Beijing with the same appearance and structure, many models reflecting the ancient court style and folk architecture in China, and a large number of architectural cultural relics and specimens.
