Macau Tourism Institute (IFTM) is a public institution of higher learning in Macau, China, offering degrees and professional training courses in tourism and service industries. It is a member of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao University Alliance, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Tourism Vocational Education Alliance, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Tourism Research Alliance and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Tourism Education and Training Base.
From 65438 to 0993, the Macao government began to plan to set up institutions of higher learning to provide tourism education and training in line with the tourism development policy of the region. After two years of preparatory work, the Macao Tourism Institute was formally established on 1995, and is headed by the Social and Cultural Department of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government.
By the end of the 2020/202 1 academic year, Macau Tourism College had two campuses, three schools, 1 research center, two on-campus internship units, 352 faculty members, 170 1 degree students and 12483 trainees.
In February, 2023, official website showed that there are three schools in Macau Tourism College, 1 Training Center: Tourism Management College, Hotel Management College, Continuing Education College and World Tourism Education and Training Center.
In February, 2023, official website showed that there were/kloc-0 scientific research platforms under the Macao Tourism Institute: IFTM Tourism Research Center. According to official website in February 2023, Macau Tourism Institute published 629 conference papers, 5 magazines19, 49 books 149 chapters, 4 papers 14 and 2 case studies.
Macau Tourism College has diversified classrooms, theaters, auditoriums and conference venues, and provides a series of different internship and training facilities, such as computer room, digital archives of cultural heritage, bar and tea room, simulated reception desk, simulated room service classroom and teaching kitchen (including Chinese kitchen, dim sum kitchen, cake room and western kitchen).
Dining room classroom (Chinese and Western simulated dining room), spa teaching room, clean teaching room, beauty room, painting room, English center/photography room, student study room, library, etc. And the whole campus is covered with wireless network.
