Suggestions on the training of primary and secondary school principals;

The author is an educator and has been a school leader for many years. Through his experience in training principals and colleagues since he took the leadership position, he communicated with many colleagues engaged in educational leadership positions, talked about some views and opinions on the training of principals, and put forward some immature suggestions on the training of principals in primary and secondary schools:

First, principal training should take various forms, which can be carried out in winter and summer vacations. The author is a principal who has stepped onto the leadership position step by step from the front line of education. Engaged in school education management for many years. His feeling is that the higher the position, the more important his management knowledge and methods are. I should have attended more training in school management, learned more knowledge about school management, and been exposed to some advanced management methods, which was beneficial to the development of principals and schools. However, most of the current training is responsible for work reasons. It's a pity that I don't have many training opportunities. Therefore, it is suggested that the education administrative department should take this situation into consideration when training principals, and adopt online learning and training, inviting experts to counties and cities for short-term training, or training in winter and summer vacations to get training and improvement without delaying work.

Second,

For weak schools or primary schools in mountainous areas, support can be given in training funds.

I used to be the leader of a small school in a mountainous area. The school itself has weak teachers and outdated management mode. However, due to the small size of the school and the small number of students, the current education funds are allocated according to the number of students, and the cost of attending a school principal training often accounts for a large part of the school's funds for one semester. Therefore, in order to ensure the normal operation of the school, even if there is an urgent need for training and improvement, it has to be abandoned. Therefore, it is suggested that the education administrative department can give some financial support to the training of principals in mountain schools with weak or small teaching scale.
