Wang Huaiqi was born in Beijing on July 1939. 1960 graduated from the middle school attached to the Central Academy of Fine Arts. 1965 graduated from Jiang Studio of Chinese Painting Department of Central Academy of Fine Arts. Since 1965, he has worked in Hebei People's Fine Arts Publishing House, Hebei Art School, Hebei Art Studio and Hebei Painting Academy. Engaged in Art editor, art teaching, art creation, art organization, establishment and system construction of Hebei Painting Academy.

He used to be the director of China Artists Association, the chairman of Hebei Art Museum Association, the president of Hebei Painting Academy, the judge of the 7th and 8th National Art Exhibition, and the member of the Standing Committee of the 7th to 9th Hebei Provincial People's Congress. He is currently honorary chairman of Hebei Artists Association, honorary president of Hebei Painting Academy and national first-class artist.
