Principles of management psychology research: objectivity, relevance and development.
The research methods of management psychology mainly include observation, experiment, investigation, test and case analysis.
(1) observation method: definition: a research method that directly observes the behavior of purposeful and planned people in an organization without human intervention under daily natural and social conditions. Advantages: easy to use, authentic materials. Disadvantages: we can only passively wait for the occurrence of related phenomena, and it is difficult to quantitatively process the obtained materials and determine the real reason of a certain behavior phenomenon. Characteristics of observation method: under natural conditions, observation is carried out purposefully, planned and systematically.
(2) Experimental method: Definition: Experimental method is a method for researchers to purposefully and actively cause the behavior changes of subjects through strictly controlled or created conditions, so as to conduct research. Advantages: strict control conditions and high accuracy of results. Disadvantages: the artificial and psychological phenomena in the laboratory are too simplistic, and the results obtained are somewhat different from the actual situation.
(3) Investigation method: Definition: Investigation method is a method to indirectly understand people's psychological activities in an organization by collecting various relevant materials. The methods of investigation are conversation and questionnaire.
(1) Talk method is a way for researchers to draw up certain questions in advance to talk with subjects in order to understand their psychological state. Advantages: simple and easy to operate, easy to obtain information quickly. Disadvantages: great limitations.
(2) In order to make the conversation effective, we must pay attention to three points: 1, the purpose is clear, and the questions are easy to understand. 2. Pay attention to methods and control the process. 3. Record the dialogue systematically, completely and in detail.
(3) Questionnaire survey: Questionnaire survey is a method to study the psychological state of the subjects by using a clear questionnaire to let them choose their own answers according to their personal situation, and then analyzing these answers. There are three common methods: illegal method, selective method and hierarchical arrangement method. Advantages: A wide range of data can be obtained in a short time, and the results can be quantitatively processed. Disadvantages: it is difficult to analyze the quality of the obtained materials and compare the conclusion with the actual behavior of the subjects.
(4) Test method: Definition: Test method is a method to measure people's psychological quality according to the pre-established standardized measurement table. Advantages: You can know one or more characteristics of many people in a short time and make quantitative comparison. Disadvantages: it has great limitations, which are manifested in the imperfection of the measurement table currently used and the low reliability and validity coefficient.
(5) Case law: also known as case law, it is a method of long-term observation, investigation and understanding of an individual, group and organization in order to study its behavior changes.
