Zhejiang University is an ordinary institution of higher learning directly under the Ministry of Education. It is one of the first key universities to enter the national "2 1 1 Project" and "985 Project". Qiushi College, the predecessor of Zhejiang University, was founded in 1897. It is one of the earliest new institutions of higher learning founded by China people themselves. 1952, when the national colleges and universities were adjusted, they were divided into several single-subject schools, and some departments were merged into brother universities. From 65438 to 0998, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou University, Zhejiang Agricultural University and Zhejiang Medical University merged to form a new Zhejiang University. After 100 years of construction and development, the school has become a research-oriented comprehensive university with solid foundation, strong strength, distinctive features, first-class domestic level and great international influence. Zhejiang University has a strong faculty. The current level of postgraduate tutors and good conditions for scientific research and experiments have laid a solid foundation for the development of high-level postgraduate education. On September 10, 2009, Zhejiang University was approved by the Central Organization Department and the Ministry of Education as the base of the National Cadre Education and Training College. The base gives full play to the advantages of Zhejiang University in scientific research, disciplines, talents and extensive international academic exchanges, carefully studies the needs of cadre education and training, and strives to build a first-class cadre education and training base in China under the leadership of the Central Organization Department, the Ministry of Education and the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee.
