The aim of China Red Cross Society is to carry forward the spirit of humanity, fraternity and dedication, protect human life and health, and promote the cause of human peace and progress. The Red Cross Society of China abides by the national constitution and laws, follows the basic principles of the international Red Cross movement (humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity and universality), and works independently in accordance with the Geneva Conventions and their Additional Protocols, the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Red Cross Society and these Articles of Association. China Red Cross participates in the international Red Cross movement on the principle of independence, equality and mutual respect, and develops friendly and cooperative relations with relevant international organizations and national Red Cross or Red Crescent societies.
