The tower of Babel is located in the square in front of the temple. It is said that these eight pagodas were built in 1776 to commemorate the eight great merits of Sakyamuni's life. Its shape is similar, with a tower height of 6.4 meters, a tower bottom circumference of 9.4 meters and a base area of 5.7 square meters. The tower is white ash, the base is blue brick, and the waist is decorated with scriptures. There is also a Buddhist shrine in the south of each tower, which contains Sanskrit. Its base is different from the geometric figures carved on it.
Walking into the temple, you came to Dajingtang. In the corridor, I saw many believers and monks prostrating themselves here, most of whom were Tibetan believers from afar. Kowtow is a kind of prostrate kowtow. In this special atmosphere and air field, people often have the illusion of traveling through time and space, which will calm your mind immediately.
The Dajinwa Hall, which is located behind the Dajingtang, is the core of Ta 'er Temple, and the believers who come to worship are in an endless stream. They purify and redeem their souls in the most pious way of kowtowing and worshipping. I stood by and looked at them silently, lamenting their piety and faith.
There are many halls in Ta 'er Temple. The main hall of each hall is connected with the east and west halls, which is similar to a quadrangle. It looks very independent, but it communicates with other halls through a side door, or it is very close, and the layout is rigorous and reasonable. Of course, it is also like a maze. People who come to Ta 'er Temple for the first time must have a guide, otherwise they will go astray.
Buddhist scripture building, like all other buildings, is a Tibetan building with brick and wood structure. Butter carving, mural painting and pile embroidery are called the "three wonders" of Ta 'er Temple. In addition to a large number of scriptures, butter sculpture is a treasure here, and people who come here mainly visit butter sculpture. Butter sculpture is made of white ghee, mixed with various pigments and shaped according to aesthetic requirements. Butter will melt at room temperature, so monks should do this work at sub-zero temperature and put their hands in snow water from time to time to cool down. According to the tour guide, many artistic monks suffer from severe rheumatism. What you can see now are all kinds of butter sculptures in the cold storage, so they can be preserved for a long time. I think the butter sculpture made by art monks is not so much the beauty of art as a kind of hard and pious practice for us tourists. Their craftsmanship is really worthy of respect.
In Ta 'er Temple, although I only visited a few major monasteries at first, I have fully felt the power of faith! "A flower and a world, a leaf and a bodhi." Ta 'er Temple, a mysterious paradise outside the bizarre and noisy modern society, will certainly bring spiritual insight and enlightenment to all believers and prayers.
Ta 'er Temple is a sacred Buddhist temple and a devout belief. I think: in this world, having faith is the happiest person!
