The Ministry of Education, the official website, recently issued the "Notice on the list of recognized majors in normal colleges and universities in 2020", announcing that a number of colleges and universities have passed the second-and third-level accreditation. That is to say, these normal college graduates do not need to take a unified written test or interview for the teacher qualification certificate, but only need to take a series of courses and practical exams organized by their own schools to obtain the teacher qualification certificate. On the basis of the reform of exemption certification for master of education and public-funded normal students, the scope of this exemption certification reform is defined according to the conditions and quality audit results of normal universities. In 20 17, teachers in colleges and universities who joined the pilot provinces of the national primary and secondary school teacher qualification examination reform can participate in the examination-free certification reform from 2022 (the specific list will be issued separately). Colleges and universities that implement the reform of exemption certification should establish an examination system for normal students' educational and teaching ability, and carry out the examination for normal students' educational and teaching ability according to the training objectives. Graduates who pass the examination in 2022 and beyond can take the national primary and secondary school teacher qualification examination without examination according to the examination results. From 20 18 onwards, relevant normal majors in colleges and universities will join the pilot provinces of the national primary and secondary school teacher qualification examination reform, and relevant policies will be issued separately.
If normal students can't be exempted from the cross-disciplinary examination, then the teacher qualification certificate is now a form of national unified examination, and neither normal students nor other types of candidates can be exempted from the examination. In addition, it should be noted that the national examination requires the majors to be consistent with or similar to the reported subjects, and irrelevant ones cannot apply for the teacher qualification certificate. For example, it is impossible for Chinese majors to apply for the qualification certificate of mathematics teachers.
