Hubei College of Traditional Chinese Medicine is located in Jingzhou, a famous historical and cultural city. It is the first general college of traditional Chinese medicine approved by the Ministry of Education. The school was formerly a training course for primary health personnel in Jingzhou, and was founded in 1953, and 1965 was renamed Jingzhou District Health School. 1972 was approved by the Ministry of Higher Education as Jingzhou Medical College and renamed as Jingzhou District Health School.
