Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, formerly known as Fujian College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, was founded in 1958. It is one of the earliest institutions of higher learning of traditional Chinese medicine in China, and was selected as a key construction university in Fujian Province twice. It is a "first-class university" in Fujian Province. On March 20 10, it was renamed Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine with the approval of the Ministry of Education.
