Jiaozuo, formerly known as Yang Shan and Huaizhou, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Henan Province. The State Council [1] approved the Central Plains Urban Agglomeration in China and the regional central city in the border area between Henan and Shaanxi.

As of 20 18, the city has four districts, four counties and two county-level cities, with a total area of 407 1 km2 [2]. According to the data of the seventh national census, as of 0: 00 1 1 on June 2020, the permanent population of Jiaozuo was 352 1078.

Jiaozuo is located in the middle of China, in the northwest of Henan, with Taihang Mountain and Jincheng in Shanxi in the north, Zhengzhou and Luoyang across the Yellow River in the south, Xinxiang in the east and Jiyuan in the west. It is a famous "Centennial Coal City" and an old industrial base in China, a national pilot city of intellectual property rights and a national demonstration base of new industrialization.

Jiaozuo is one of the central areas of the early activities of the Chinese nation, with Peiligang culture, Yangshao culture and Longshan culture sites. It is the hometown of Sima Yi, Han Yu, Li Shangyin, Zhu Zaiyu, Xu Heng, Dan Tao, Xiang Embroidery and other historical and cultural celebrities [4], the birthplace of Tai Ji Chuan, China, with three 5A-level scenic spots: Yuntai Mountain, Shennong Mountain and Qingtianhe River.
