Nanyang normal University is a provincial undergraduate college with normal and local characteristics. In the past three years, with the increasingly severe employment situation, the employment rate of school graduates has risen steadily, from 90.2% in 2006 to 93.4% in 2008, and the quality of employment has improved significantly. The school was awarded "Advanced Employment Unit" by the Provincial Department of Education twice in a row. These achievements benefit from the following six aspects.

First, implement the "number one" project, build a long-term mechanism for all employees to participate in employment, and maintain efficient operation of employment.

School leaders attach great importance to the employment of graduates, always regard employment as an important test standard for the quality of education and teaching and the level of running a school, regard employment as the lifeline of running a school, implement the employment "number one" project, set up an employment leading group headed by the party secretary and dean of the college, and set up corresponding employment working groups in various colleges (departments) to provide strong organizational guarantee for doing a good job in employment according to regulations.

The school holds a special conference on graduate employment every year. The party secretary and dean of the school attended and made an important speech at the same time, demanding that the whole school and all functional departments establish the overall concept of "employment is the foundation of people's livelihood", attach great importance to the employment of graduates in terms of ideology and action, actively care for and support the employment of graduates, and promote their full employment.

The school has also implemented a new mechanism of "linking employment operation with performance", namely "three-level linkage responsibility system" and "three-level linkage reward and punishment system" and "three-level linkage responsibility system", that is, school leaders subcontract graduating classes and teachers subcontract graduates, so that all levels are responsible and everyone has indicators, which effectively promotes the efficient operation of employment; The "three-linked reward and punishment system" is to link employment evaluation with target management, with college (department) work funds and with college (department) enrollment plan, so that the interests of schools, departments and individuals are closely linked with employment, thus ensuring the healthy development of employment. In 2008, six colleges were rewarded, and their enrollment plans were increased, while four majors in three colleges reduced their enrollment plans.

Two, the implementation of the whole process of employment education, enhance the employment competitiveness of graduates.

Employment education for college students is a systematic and complicated project. On the basis of full investigation and demonstration, the school closely focuses on the theme of "improving graduates' employment competitiveness", explores the implementation of whole-course employment education, and carries out "three-stage" employment training and "three-level" employment education.

The "three stages" of employment training are as follows: in the first stage, junior students have one goal-to carry out career planning training. On the basis of college students' understanding of the major, we will carry out all-staff professional awareness training and career planning and design training. In the second stage, the third-year students have skills-to carry out vocational skills training. According to students' own career goals, guide students to participate in 40 post training courses developed by the school or vocational qualification training courses organized by the society, so that students can master the necessary post skills, realize the benign docking of the curriculum system and post skills, obtain corresponding vocational qualification certificates, and enhance the employment competitiveness of graduates. This practice was evaluated by China Education News as "a golden key to the employment of college graduates". In the third stage, the fourth-grade students have job hunting experience-to carry out employment skills training. Provide guidance and training to students in job-hunting strategies, interview skills, resume writing, unit and post identification, so that students can gain indirect job-hunting experience and improve the success rate of job hunting. "Three-stage vocational training" enables college students to have career goals, vocational skills and job-seeking experience during their school days, thus gaining advantages in fierce employment competition and workplace competition. Yue Chuanhan, a junior, was named "Top Ten Career Planning Stars of College Students in Henan Province" in the Third Career Planning and Design Competition for College Students in Henan Province, and won the Excellence Award in the National Career Planning Competition for College Students.

"Three-level" education includes three aspects. The first is the education of employment concept. Facing the new situation, the school actively guides students to establish a correct concept of employment, links the realization of life value with the needs of the country, and guides students to find jobs first and then choose jobs. Among the graduates in 2009, 522 were admitted to rural compulsory education special post teachers, 255 were enrolled in the army, 12 1 were admitted to "village officials", 16 participated in the national "three supports and one support" plan, and more than half of the graduates went to grass-roots units below the county level for employment. The second is entrepreneurship education. The school pays attention to guiding students to actively join the team of college students' entrepreneurship, and makes full use of the preferential policies of the state to promote entrepreneurship. By holding entrepreneurship reports, entrepreneurship competitions, entrepreneurship training courses, etc. , to help students master entrepreneurial knowledge and skills, and establish the confidence and ambition to dare to start a business. The school established the "College Students' Entrepreneurship Incubation Base" in Nanyang Photoelectric Park, and the entrepreneurial team won two third prizes in the 2009 National College Students' Entrepreneurship Competition. The third is to educate students on professional quality. The school strengthens the education of students' sense of responsibility, dedication, self-confidence, normative consciousness, quality consciousness and communication and coordination ability to meet the needs of employers.

Three, strengthen the construction of employment service team, the implementation of "certificates", to ensure that the employment work is carried out in a solid manner.

In order to further promote the institutionalization and specialization of employment, the school not only set up the employment guidance service center (director level) as a specialized agency for school employment, but also set up three employment service groups: full-time and part-time teachers, employment management group and student employment information group. In terms of full-time and part-time teachers, the school has set up a teaching and research section for career development education, with 2 full-time teachers and 6 part-time teachers, mainly engaged in the teaching and research of employment education. As for the employment management team, all colleges have set up employment service offices, with the deputy secretary in charge of student affairs as the director of the office, and the secretary of the Communist Youth League General Branch and counselors as the members of the office. As for the team of student employment information officers, a large number of students who are enthusiastic about serving their classmates serve as employment information officers, who are responsible for informing every graduate of the recruitment information in time. A sufficient number of full-time and part-time employment guidance service teams provide manpower guarantee for the smooth development of students' employment work.

In order to strengthen the professional level of the employment team, the school also improves the quality and ability of the team in three ways. The first is "please come in" training. The school actively strives for the technical support of China Employment Technical Guidance Center, the authoritative organization of national employment technology, and runs a training course of "National Vocational Instructor Professional Qualification Certificate" on campus. China Employment Technical Guidance Center sent famous domestic employment experts to teach and train the training course. After study and examination, 36 participating teachers in the school obtained the professional qualification certificate of national vocational instructors, and realized the employment team's "holding certificates". The second is "going out" learning. According to the needs of the school, teachers are sent to participate in the training courses for employment guidance personnel organized by the state and the province in time, and new knowledge is applied to teaching in time. The third is to experience the enterprise. Every year, the school organizes employment guidance teachers to participate in the school-enterprise docking seminar in batches, or visit the human resources department of the enterprise to understand the needs of the employer and update the teaching content in time.

Through the above measures, the teaching and scientific research level of school employment education has been significantly improved, and a career guidance teaching and research team led by national senior career instructors and global career planners has been formed, with career instructors as the backbone. In the past two years, the employment research team has completed the provincial social planning project 1, published employment-related papers 12, compiled textbooks 10, and written monographs 1. These research results have been widely used in employment services, further improving the quality and level of school employment services.

Four, oriented by social needs, improve the construction of talent market, smooth the main channel of talent export.

1. Make every effort to open up the employment market and strive to build a platform for graduates' employment.

The school has made a market development plan, focusing on establishing internship and employment bases in the Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta, Bohai Bay and the old industrial bases in Northeast China. The leaders in charge of the school personally led a team to inspect the employing units, understand the needs of graduates and discuss cooperation between supply and demand, which greatly promoted the employment rate of graduates. At present, the school has established 10 large-scale interdisciplinary employment bases and 60 professional internship employment bases, and has also established long-term employment cooperation relations with more than 600 foreign enterprises and institutions in the province. Every year, 46,000 jobs can be directly provided for graduates through the school employment platform, which is more than 10 times of the number of graduates.

2. Do all kinds of pre-test counseling.

The school organizes remedial classes such as postgraduate entrance examination, college entrance examination, special post teacher recruitment, "village official recruitment" and civil servant recruitment. Through targeted intensive counseling, help students master knowledge and strengthen key points. Every year, more than 1/3 of the total number of school graduates pass the examination to achieve employment (further studies).

3. Pay attention to helping graduates with employment difficulties and female graduates.

The school provides "one-on-one" assistance to graduates with employment difficulties, and the school trade union mobilizes female faculty to provide "one-on-one" assistance to female college students with psychological, economic and employment difficulties, thus solving the academic and employment problems of more than 400 graduates with difficulties.

Five, according to social needs, timely adjust the talent training program.

The school pays attention to the information feedback of graduates and employers, actively conducts employment surveys, adjusts the discipline and specialty structure in time according to the needs of social and economic development, optimizes the talent training mode, enhances students' practical ability, innovation ability and entrepreneurial ability, and enhances the social and economic benefits of running a school.

Establish forward-looking and applied disciplines and majors according to social needs, optimize the structure of disciplines such as literature, science, engineering, economics, management, art, agriculture and teaching, and enhance the adaptability and vitality of running schools. The school is also employment-oriented, updating 2 ~ 3 majors every year, striving to serve the economy and society and ensuring the smooth employment of graduates.

According to the society's demand for talents' ability, we will continuously strengthen the cultivation of practical ability, innovative ability and entrepreneurial ability, revise the talent training plan, increase the proportion of practical courses and skill courses, and adjust the internship time to provide convenience for graduates' employment.

Strengthen the supporting reform of the school, strengthen the construction of teachers, strengthen the construction of experimental practice facilities, and enhance students' ability. The school implements the "Wolong Scholar Program", strives to build excellent teachers, improves the quality of education and teaching, and promotes high-quality employment with high-quality education.

Six, adhere to the purpose of service, strengthen the construction of employment hardware, to meet the needs of modern college students' employment services.

The school adheres to the service tenet of "student-oriented, paying equal attention to learning and employment", continuously increases financial support for employment, allocates employment funds to colleges (departments), improves the construction of two-level employment infrastructure, builds an employment service network and creates a good employment service platform. The school establishes a real-time employment recruitment service hall, which is open to employers and students free of charge. The employment service hall implements "one-stop" service, which is convenient for students to send, consult and apply. The school also uses modern network technology to carry out long-distance recruitment services and provide real-time recruitment and application services to improve employment efficiency and reduce students' employment costs.
