Shizhu Tujia Autonomous County belongs to Chongqing. Located in the south bank of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, in the east of Chongqing, and in the center of the Three Gorges reservoir area, it is one of the Tujia settlements where Cubans are the main body and other ethnic groups live together.
It is adjacent to Lichuan City, Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Hubei Province in the east, Pengshui Miao and Tujia Autonomous County in Chongqing in the south, Fengdu County in Chongqing in the southwest, Zhongxian County in Chongqing in the northwest and Wanzhou District in Chongqing in the north.
