Spiritual mentor Hu Jieyi
I believe everyone has heard about the harm of mental illness. Most mental patients are unwilling to receive treatment because they don't admit that they are sick after getting sick.

In the past three years, the author has been fortunate to work with Mr. Hu Jieyi, the chairman, chief physician, senior psychological consultant and distinguished professor of psychology of Zhoukou Psychiatric Hospital of zhoukou normal University, and deeply felt his profound knowledge in the field of psychiatric diagnosis and treatment.

Hu Jieyi is smart, diligent and studious, and has a strong interest in Chinese medicine. When he was a child, he made a great wish of "helping the poor and rescuing the wounded". For more than forty years, with tenacious drilling strength and firm belief. With amazing perseverance, he galloped in the vast and profound treasure house of traditional Chinese medicine and made remarkable achievements in the field of mental illness treatment. Let's review his diligent self-study and tireless road of seeking medical treatment.

First, I set foot in the medical forest for the first time and became attached to the doctor.

As soon as Hu Jie became sensible, he often listened to his mother's stories about grandpa, grandma and uncle treating people, so he became interested in medicine at an early age. Whenever he goes to his grandfather's house, he always likes to read his uncle's medical books. 12 years old suffered from dysentery at home, but it didn't get better when he went to the doctor to take medicine, but it got worse, and he defecated more than once a day 10. Helpless, he found the earthwork prescription set given by his uncle, trying to find a way to treat dysentery. Sure enough, he found that there was a record in the book: "Fresh Portulaca oleracea 100g, decocted in water, has special effects in treating dysentery". He asked his mother to pull it out of the ground and fry it twice regularly. Dysentery really stopped. Excited, he made up his mind to study medical books, master the hard skills of medical treatment, and make contributions to changing the current situation of lack of medicine and medicine at home.

Later, the county medical team came to Hu Jieyi's hometown. He is very happy. He attends classes at school during the day and goes to the residence of the medical team for consultation at night. He is often fascinated. He was the first person to sign up for the acupuncture workshop organized by the medical team. In order to buy acupuncture equipment and books, he braved the heat and walked back and forth more than 80 miles every day. He often practices acupuncture on himself, and his acupuncture technology has made rapid progress. At that time, a neighbor of Jieyi had a stomachache and asked him to try to treat it. He immediately used the knowledge he learned to acupuncture the relevant points, and actually received the miraculous effect of acupuncture until the pain stopped. The patient was very excited and told everyone that hujie had a needle to cure the disease. What a miracle!

The success of the first attempt made Hu Jieyi more motivated to study medicine. Since then, he has formed an indissoluble bond with medicine. Subscribe to ten Chinese medicine periodicals such as journal of traditional chinese medicine and new traditional chinese medicine, read through dozens of famous academic works and classic works such as Huangdi Neijing and synopsis of the Golden Chamber, and recite more than 100 Chinese medicine prescriptions.

1in the summer of 976, a junior high school classmate in hujie got mental illness and sought medical treatment everywhere. He spent hundreds of dollars, but his condition didn't improve at all. Helpless, the patient's father turned to Hu Jieyi for help, and Jieyi immediately went to his home. After detailed inquiry and observation, he carefully diagnosed that phlegm-fire disturbed the heart. Immediately, he adopted the method of clearing phlegm and purging fire, acupuncture related points, giving strong stimulation and prescribing two doses of Chinese medicine. After taking the medicine, the patient's spirit quickly returned to normal.

Second, learn knowledge and go hungry.

During the period of 1975, Hu Jieyi came across a manuscript of traditional Chinese medicine in the collection of old Chinese medicine when she was working in the health center of Wikicommune in Shangshui County. After studying eagerly, he copied books for dozens of nights. It is this handwritten secret book that has greatly helped Hu Jieyi from theory to practice, and enabled him to appreciate the profoundness and infinite mystery of Chinese medicine, a national treasure of China.

Through 10 years of hard study, work and exercise, 2 1 year-old Hu Jieyi has become a minor celebrity, and people come to see a doctor in an endless stream. There was an old lady in her sixties who was paralyzed for several months. After being treated in several hospitals, she has never improved and still owes a lot of debts. His family reported a glimmer of hope and took the patient to Jieyi treatment. After understanding the condition, he thought that the disease was a sequela of stroke, which was caused by qi deficiency and blood stasis. That is, the patient was treated with electroacupuncture combined with traditional Chinese medicine pills and paid more than 100 yuan for the medicine. On the third day of treatment, the patient can walk independently. 1 month later, the patient's upper limbs gradually recovered. Later, he could not only do housework, but also work in the fields. The patient and his family were extremely grateful and said with tears: "Dr. Hu is young and promising, and his medical skills are superb. He is really a good gentleman of the people! "

There is a male classmate who just graduated from high school, suffering from mental illness, manic beating, sleepless nights, cursing and shouting, and being hospitalized for 2 months without success. He was forcibly sent to Hu Jieyi by his family. Under the careful treatment and patient guidance of Jieyi, he returned to normal life in less than 20 days. The patient's family members were so grateful that they sent a plaque with the words "noble medical ethics, contemporary Huatuo" as a token of their hearts, and also sent a movie to enjoy with the villagers. Before the film was shown, the patient's parents moved and said, "It was Dr. Hu who saved my child and brought joy and happiness to my family ...". Since then, the news that "Hu Jie has a unique skill in treating mental illness" has spread like wildfire. Psychopaths in Shangshui, Xiangcheng, Zhoukou and Huaiyang ... came here with joy. Hu Jie was famous for some time.

Third, don't be arrogant and rash, and don't think about making progress.

1986 Autumn, Hu Jie entered the Zhoukou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital. Soon, with the cordial care and strong support of the leaders of the Municipal Health Bureau and the hospital, the Institute of Mental Illness was established, with Hu Jie as its director. Since then, he has carried out research and treatment of mental illness. He treats patients like relatives and does not hesitate to give money to those who are poor and sick. He doesn't give up theoretical study lightly because the clinic is busy, and he is not intoxicated by his achievements. Instead, he often stays up late reading. He also went to Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Tianjin, Zhengzhou and other places at his own expense to learn from many famous doctors, experts and professors. 1in the summer of 988, he rushed to Beijing to participate in the national key training course on psychiatric research of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine. In the same year, he was admitted to Henan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine for further study, and 1992 graduated with honors. Medical technology has been further improved. In September of that year, a woman surnamed Zhang in Hunan was 48 years old. Because he was shot off with a gun during the Cultural Revolution, he was scared out of his wits. Over the years, after being treated in more than ten mental hospitals in China, her condition has never improved, and her husband divorced her. Accompanied by his brother, the patient went to the Institute of Mental Disorders of Zhoukou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital. After acupuncture, integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine and psychotherapy, she recovered in a few months.

Fourth, self-taught, to the world.

For more than forty years, Hu Jieyi organically combined TCM syndrome differentiation with western medicine disease differentiation from the perspective of regulating the balance of yin and yang in human body, thus exploring the wonderful method of "electroacupuncture psychotherapy of Chinese and western medicine" to treat mental diseases. He used this method to observe and treat more than 3,000 cases of mental diseases such as schizophrenia and Alzheimer's Harmo's disease. The effect was satisfactory, and the recurrence rate was low, which reduced the side effects of western medicine. From 65438 to 0994, Hu Jieyi's research paper entitled "Clinical Observation on Treating 80 Cases of Cerebrovascular Dementia with Electroacupuncture Psychotherapy of Chinese and Western Medicine" won the only outstanding achievement award in the first World Congress of Traditional Medicine held in the United States, which attracted great attention from experts from all over the world. After that, Hu Jieyi was invited by highways from Australia, Spain and other countries to attend the international academic exchange conference on traditional medicine and give a special academic report. So far, he has been invited to nine countries to participate in international medical academic exchanges.

1996 10 was also cordially received and appreciated by Professor Hu, President of the World Federation of Needles, and Mr. Gary James, Director of the Australian Drug Administration.

Five, concentrate on research, fruitful.

After more than 40 years of brave pursuit and hard struggle, Hu Jie has achieved remarkable and fruitful results. He developed "Lily Poria Powder" and "Jieyu Poria Tea" with the same origin of medicine and food, which were widely praised at home and abroad. Among them, "Xieyi Fuling Tea" was designated as a gift by the central and state organs' group meeting of veteran cadres (2022-2023), and was rated as "national specialty Chinese national gift" and CCTV domestic excellent product. Up to now, five medical monographs have been compiled, including Secret Collection of Mental Diseases in TCM, Questions and Answers of Mental Diseases, Synopsis of the Golden Chamber, Fifty Acupuncture Points of Hu Jie, and Revision of Producing Treasure Gas, which have been published by China Science and Technology Publishing House and People's Health Publishing House. Up to now, more than 100 medical papers have been published in medical journals above the provincial level and various international and domestic academic conferences, among which 8 papers have been rated as excellent international and domestic papers. Its scientific research project "Clinical Research on Treating Cerebrovascular Dementia with Electro-acupuncture Psychotherapy of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine" was appraised by the Provincial Science and Technology Commission on 1995, and won the first prize of scientific and technological progress in Zhoukou area, among which five achievements also won national patents. In particular, the music electrotherapy instrument for insomnia, anxiety and depression produced by Shanghai Vision Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. attracted great interest from German businessman Mr. Neudorf after clinical trial, and made a special trip from Germany to Hu Jieyi's clinic in the spring of 2004 for inspection.

Hu Jieyi's outstanding achievements impressed colleagues at home and abroad. 1986, and was admitted as a member of the National Committee of China Traditional Medicine Research Association, a member of Chinese Psychological Society and the Sixth Committee of Psychiatry Branch of Henan Medical Association. He was also hired as an expert representative of the' 94 Symposium on Special Medicine across the Taiwan Strait, the editorial board of Zhongyuan Psychiatry Journal, and distinguished professor, a psychologist at zhoukou normal University. He has been rated as an outstanding professional and technical talent in provinces and cities for many times, and has been commended by the Provincial Psychological Society as an "advanced worker in psychology science popularization in the whole province". 1998 1 was awarded the honorary title of "China stunt doctor" by the China Health Care International Exchange Promotion Association of the Ministry of Health, and was an advanced individual in the national health industry in 20021year. His achievements have been included in many dictionaries, such as Who's Who in the World, Contemporary Chinese Medicine Celebrities in China, Biographies of Famous Doctors in China and Dictionary of Contemporary Celebrities in China, and reported by many news organizations such as Henan Daily, Henan Science and Technology News, Zhoukou Daily, Zhoukou TV Station and online media.

Sixth, make persistent efforts to create excellent works.

In 2000, Hu Jieyi, as the leader of psychiatry in Zhoukou City, began to work hard to establish a provincial-level key psychiatric college. Many things happen, and finally passed the evaluation of the Provincial Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2004, becoming the only key specialty of TCM psychiatry in the province. However, he is not satisfied with the status quo. In order to seek greater development, he resolutely resigned from public office and went to Zhoukou Psychiatric Hospital for development. He took over as the president and chairman of the hospital and insisted on not leaving the front line of clinical work. He has his own unique and deeper research and understanding on the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness.

Hu Jieyi told me that mental illness is not an incurable disease. Different from other diseases, it can be diagnosed by B-ultrasound, electrocardiogram, X-ray, CT, nuclear magnetic resonance, blood, urine and feces examination, but the attitude of psychiatrists and whether they have rich clinical experience directly affect the correct diagnosis and treatment of mental illness.

Whenever I see many patients inside and outside the province come to seek medical treatment and praise him as a spiritual mentor, I am awed and sighed.

Recently, Hu Jieyi and Hu Yuanyuan completed a monograph about 6.5438+0.3 million words, "Treating Mental Disorders with TCM Syndrome Differentiation". I believe this book will play an important role in promoting the inheritance and further development of Chinese medicine in psychiatry. I hope this book will come out as soon as possible, and I hope Mr. Hu Jieyi will create more brilliant achievements!
