I. Introduction to NOI

National Youth Informatics Olympic Competition (NOI) is a national youth computer science competition sponsored by China Computer Federation with the approval of People's Republic of China (PRC) Ministry of Education and China Association for Science and Technology. It is an informatics Olympic competition and popularization activity for young people all over the country, aiming at popularizing computer science knowledge to middle school learners. Provide motivation and new ideas for the school's information technology education curriculum; Provide opportunities for talented students to communicate and learn from each other; Cultivate and select excellent computer talents through competitions and related activities.

It is synchronized with the International Olympic Informatics (IOI) sponsored by UNESCO.

NOI series activities include:

1) National Youth Informatics Olympic Competition (Informatics Olympics for short). National competitions organized by all provinces (including autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government, the same below), with 4 people in each team.

2) National Informatics Olympiad (NOIP or League).

3) Winter Camp of National Youth Informatics Olympic Competition (NOI Winter Camp). A week-long training activity during the winter vacation every year.

4) International Olympic Informatics (IOI) China Team Trials (IOI Trials).

5) Going abroad to participate in the International Olympic Informatics (IOI). China Computer Federation organized a team to represent China in the annual IOI international competition.

Two. Introduction to IOI

The use of 1 IOI

International Olympic Informatics (IOI) is one of the five disciplines in the international Olympic Games, which was founded by UNESCO on 1988. Its purpose is to publicize the new discipline of informatics, stimulate students' interest in computer science and information technology, increase the motivation and new ideas of such courses in schools, encourage talented teenagers through competitions and promote their development ability; In particular, it brings talented middle school students from all over the world together for scientific and cultural exchanges and learning the excellent culture of the host country.

2. China's participation

China has teamed up to participate in IOI since the first session, and has achieved excellent results in every competition. The OII and NOI of informatics for many years have also promoted the popularization of information science and technology among teenagers in China, promoted the implementation of quality education in primary and secondary schools, and promoted international exchanges.

3. Team composition: each team has 4 players and 2 captains.

4. Competition mode

IOI is to test the ability of high school students all over the world to solve problems with computers and programming languages under the network environment. * * * There are two tests, each lasting 5 hours. Players have to write three programs in five hours, that is, solve three problems. The topic of the competition is very professional.

5.IOI International Committee

In order to better organize this event, IOI specially set up the IOI International Committee (IOI-IC) composed of about 1 1 members to discuss major issues related to IOI. It meets twice a year in the host country. China has been a member of IC since 1997, and has actively participated in its organizational development and various activities. The term of office ended in 2003.

Important matters related to IOI, such as the joint election of members of the International Committee and the decisions of participating countries, need to be voted by the plenary session.

6.IOI reform
