Chengdu Neusoft College is a private institution of higher learning approved by the Ministry of Education and funded by Neusoft. In 2003, with the approval of Sichuan Provincial People's Government, Chengdu Neusoft Vocational College of Information Technology was established to carry out higher vocational education. In 2003, the school was identified by the Ministry of Education as one of the first 35 national demonstration software vocational and technical colleges. Sichuan University of Culture and Arts (formerly Mianyang Art College of Sichuan Conservatory of Music) was established in 20001,approved by the Ministry of Education in 2006 as an independent college for undergraduate enrollment nationwide, transferred to Sichuan University of Culture and Arts with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 200014, and listed as a pilot institution for the overall transformation, development and reform of undergraduate colleges in Sichuan Province in 200016, and was elected as "Sichuan Applied College"
