Information collection is a fast and effective way to collect information through participatory research on farmers' training needs. There are many tools in the participatory research method of farmers' training needs, which can play a role from different angles and make the collected information accurate and comprehensive. There are two main ways to collect information:

(1) Researchers use various tools to collect first-hand information in participatory work methods. First-hand information refers to the information that can't be found in official records, but needs investigators to rely on their own investigation methods to find out the explicit demand for farmers' training. Then, using the method of problem analysis, this paper analyzes the main problems existing in farmers' production and life, explores the causes of these problems, and finds out the hidden needs of farmers' training.

(2) Collect second-hand data. Second-hand materials refer to recorded information materials compiled or used by others, including books, documents and materials. , such as government work reports, development plans formulated by governments at all levels, meeting minutes, etc. Only by mutually verifying the information obtained from the first-hand data and the second-hand data can accurate analysis results be obtained.
