The certification of Financial Risk Manager (FRM) was introduced by GARP1997. As of May this year, GARP has set up FRM certification test sites in 49 cities around the world, including Beijing, Shanghai, Hongkong and Taibei in China. More than 6,500 people from more than 3,000 institutions (including major financial institutions, consulting companies and academic organizations around the world) have been officially certified as financial risk managers.
