Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts is the only art college in southern China. 1953, whose predecessor was the Central South Art College, which was formed by the merger of Guangdong South China Literature and Art College, Hubei Central South Literature and Art College and Guangxi Art College. 1958, the school moved south to Guangzhou, renamed Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, and began to recruit undergraduates.
