Introduction to Shandong First Medical University Shandong First Medical University (Shandong Academy of Medical Sciences), referred to as "Shandong Medical University", is a second-class public welfare institution in Shandong Province, led by Shandong Provincial People's Government, managed by Shandong Provincial Education Department and Shandong Provincial Health and Wellness Committee, with Shandong Provincial Education Department as the main body. Shandong First Medical University is integrated by Taishan Medical College, Shandong Academy of Medical Sciences and Shandong Qianfoshan Hospital. The school has two campuses, Jinan and Taian. Jinan Campus covers an area of about 2,700 mu with a building area of 900,000 square meters. The north campus is the main campus, and the south campus is the apartment for international students, the center for translational medicine and the international exchange center. The whole project is scheduled to be completed in the second half of 20021year.
The school was founded in 1974, formerly known as Shandong Medical College Loude Branch. Shandong Medical College and Shandong College of Traditional Chinese Medicine 1970 merged into Shandong Medical College and moved to Loude Town, Xintai County, Tai 'an City (Jinan has a rear office). Shandong Medical College Loude Branch was founded in 1974, and moved to Tai 'an in198/kloc-0. 20 18 Taishan medical college and Shandong academy of medical sciences merged to form Shandong first medical university.
The school now covers an area of more than 3,000 mu, with a building area of 820,000 square meters, fixed assets of 65.438+0.45 billion yuan, total teaching and research equipment of 250 million yuan and 2.88 million books and materials. There are more than 3,500 on-the-job teaching and administrative staff in the school, including 746 with associate senior titles or above, 2 with doctor's degree and 2 with master's degree or above. There are 7 outstanding teachers in China, 3 outstanding teachers in Shandong Province and 8 famous teachers in Shandong Province. There are 22 experts enjoying the special government allowance of the State Council, 6 young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions in Shandong Province, 3 distinguished experts and professors of Taishan scholars, 3 overseas distinguished experts of Taishan scholars, 2 young experts of Taishan scholars, 4 chief experts of key laboratories of universities in Shandong Province, 3 top-notch talents in Tai 'an City, and 2 professors 13. 15 Academician was hired as a part-time professor by the school.
The school has 17 teaching departments, offering 42 undergraduate majors, including clinical medicine, medical imaging, nursing, pharmacy, traditional Chinese medicine, pharmaceutical engineering, medical inspection technology, preventive medicine, health inspection and quarantine, among which 4 are national majors, 8 are provincial majors, 2 are provincial high-level applied key construction majors (groups), and the provincial high-level applied training and construction majors (groups). There are 43 provincial-level excellent courses, 2 provincial-level bilingual teaching demonstration courses, 2 provincial-level experimental teaching demonstration centers in Shandong Province, and 1 provincial talent training mode innovation experimental zone. There are 4 authorized points for master's degrees in first-class disciplines, 36 authorized points for academic master's degrees and 22 authorized points for professional master's degrees. At present, there are more than 22,000 full-time college students and more than 800 graduate students. There are more than 660 international students from Asia, Africa, America and other countries and regions.
Pharmacology, imaging medicine, nuclear medicine and pathogenic biology are provincial key disciplines in Shandong Province, among which pharmacology is the provincial key discipline. Imaging medicine, geriatrics, epilepsy diagnosis and treatment center and medicinal chemistry are the key disciplines of medicine and health in Shandong Province. Brain Microcirculation Laboratory and Atherosclerosis Laboratory are key laboratories of universities in Shandong Province. Cell immunology laboratory and epidemiology laboratory are key laboratories of medicine and health in Shandong province. Traditional Chinese Medicine Biotechnology Laboratory is the key scientific research laboratory of Shandong Provincial Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Since the Twelfth Five-Year Plan, the school has undertaken 1245 scientific research projects, including 100 national projects and 262 provincial and ministerial projects. The affiliated hospital directly under the school has a building area of115000m2, fixed assets of 860 million yuan, total medical equipment of 270 million yuan, and open beds of 1600. There are 53 clinical departments and 8 medical technology departments, among which gynecology is the training base of endoscopy and minimally invasive technology of the National Health Planning Commission. Emergency medicine, medical imaging and general surgery are key clinical specialties in Shandong Province. Chinese medicine is a key specialty of Chinese medicine in Shandong province; Clinical Poisoning Laboratory is the Key Laboratory of Medicine and Health in Shandong Province; Oncology, neurology and breast surgery are provincial key clinical specialties. The school also has 18 non-directly affiliated hospitals and more than 280 other practice teaching bases.
