The National Certificate of Applied Information Technology (NIT) is a computer application skills training and examination system launched by the examination center of the Ministry of Education. It draws lessons from the successful experience of "Cambridge Information Technology (CIT)" organized by the Examination Committee of the University of Cambridge, England, and comes down in one continuous line with it. It adopts modular structure to cultivate and test candidates' independent operation ability in the field of computer application, which is suitable for the needs of on-the-job training of personnel in various industries and can also be used as a reference for employers to recruit and assess staff. Candidates who pass the examination shall be awarded certificates by the examination center of the Ministry of Education. NIT currently has 1 1 subjects, including computer basics, Chinese-English word processing, spreadsheets, databases, programming, computer drawing, desktop typesetting, multimedia applications, Internet, local area network, and computerized accounting.
