Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM), also known as empirical medicine, is a new discipline derived from clinical epidemiology, and it is a medicine that follows scientific evidence. Its core idea is that "any medical and health planning and decision-making should follow the best evidence produced by objective clinical scientific research", so as to formulate scientific preventive countermeasures and measures to prevent diseases, promote health and improve the quality of life.
Evidence-based medicine closely combines the best clinical evidence, skilled clinical experience and patients' specific conditions to find and collect the best clinical evidence, in order to obtain more sensitive and reliable diagnosis methods, more effective and safe treatment programs, and strive to make patients get the best treatment effect.
