Car change news? On August 29th, at Chengdu Auto Show, we had an exclusive interview with Mr. Francesco Scardaoni, the head of Lamborghini Asia-Pacific region, and got an in-depth understanding of Lamborghini's new flagship hybrid supercar and its future development direction from the technical and market perspectives. The interview content is as follows:

Head of Lamborghini Asia Pacific Question: Are you considering bringing a more customized team to Essenza SCV 12 customers? If a customer wants to drive it off the track, will Lamborghini equip them with a team or provide customized services?

Mr Francesco Scardaoni: The significance of Essenza SCV 12 model is not only reflected in these advanced technologies, but also represents Lamborghini's complete track experience and sports supporting services. Lamborghini has a dedicated team to help these customers, including the sports department of Squadra Corse. Lamborghini provides a garage for the owners of Essenza SCV 12 in Italy, and the owners can also monitor their cars around the clock through surveillance video. In addition, Lamborghini will also help car owners arrange track driving experience activities. Owners can tell the location and time of the track they want to experience by calling the customer service department, and Lamborghini will arrange a special team to help owners with vehicle transportation and all related logistics services. Lamborghini provides Essenza SCV 12 owners with a number of exclusive services, including warehousing, logistics, training, competitions and other projects, bringing customers a complete track experience and all-round services.

Question: The new Countach inherits and innovates the flagship model. Will the future hybrid sports car be equipped with lithium batteries with higher energy density, or will it continue to use the technology combination of supercapacitors?

Mr. Francesco Scardaoni: The hybrid model Sián and the new Countach LPI 800-4 are equipped with V 12 engines. Lamborghini's unique hybrid solution can better avoid energy loss and interference of electronic components, ensure the performance of the model and bring customers a driving experience. Mr Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Lamborghini, also announced the electrification plan in May this year. In 2023, Lamborghini will launch the first hybrid production model. By the end of 2024, all Lamborghini product lines will be electrified.

Q: Will Lamborghini consider participating in GT3 as a factory team? Are there any training programs for young drivers in China?

Francesco Scardani: Lamborghini will not set up a factory team in China. Lamborghini provided official support to Phantom Pro Racing Phantom Racing and Climax Racing Pole Racing teams in China this year, including professional technology, services and accessories from Italian headquarters.

We also attach great importance to cultivating the skills and knowledge of young talents. Lamborghini engineers and sports department heads will participate in these projects, so that they can have a global perspective and better participate in the competition.

In fact, Lamborghini began to train China racers several years ago, so that they can contribute to China motorsport. Nowadays, the racing market in China is developing rapidly, and more and more drivers are involved. In the future, Lamborghini hopes to train more next-generation drivers in China.

Question:? At present, the top super sports cars in China have the trend of introducing small displacement, diversified models and diversified combinations, and are also gradually introducing new energy-powered and multi-kinetic models. What are Lamborghini's future plans?

Mr Francesco Scardaoni: Lamborghini will launch a complete automobile product line in China, as well as new cars to be developed in the future, and pay attention to the development of racing cars. On August 28th, Lamborghini held a media salon in Chengdu with the theme of exploring sports events, and released Essenza SCV 12 documentary for the first time in the world. Essenza SCV 12 is a top-class sports car specially built for the track, equipped with the iconic V 12 engine.

In May this year, Mr. Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Lamborghini Motor Company, proposed to invest more than 654.38+0.5 billion euros in four years, which is the largest investment in the brand's history and promotes the transformation of hybrid power. In the stage of hybrid transformation, Lamborghini will launch the first hybrid production model in 2023, namely Aventador hybrid version, equipped with the iconic naturally aspirated V 12 engine, which is also the voice of customers, media friends and dealers. To build the Aventador hybrid version, the design and engineering of its engine need to be re-planned to meet the requirements of excellent driving experience. After launching the hybrid version of Aventador, Lamborghini will gradually launch the hybrid models of Urus and Huracán n. Moreover, the internal goal of this stage is to reduce the carbon dioxide emissions of products by 50% by the beginning of 2025.

From 2025 to 2030, Lamborghini will launch the first pure electric vehicle and launch the fourth product line. It is not easy for Lamborghini to build a pure electric car. It is necessary to ensure the performance, handling and driving experience of the vehicle, and also to ensure lightweight production. Lamborghini hopes that customers can immediately feel Lamborghini's brand genes when driving electric cars.
