Osmanthus fragrans in October, lingering fragrance. In such a beautiful season, the students of our future teacher training class in Chengdu came to Shanghai not far away, thousands of miles away, and started a week-long study tour of famous schools and posts.

The students in this off-site training are divided into different groups according to the study period and region. There are 1 1 teachers in our group. The team leader is Mr. Huang Kui, a researcher in Dujiangyan, and we are fortunate to be assigned to Shanghai World Foreign Language Middle School together. Listening to this name is extraordinary. It turns out that this school is indeed a famous private school in Shanghai.

I have seen the follow-up arrangements sent by the team leader, and it can be seen from the full schedule that the college party attaches great importance to this follow-up training.

First impression of the outside world: teachers, life and environment

? On the first day of entering the world, Mr. Zhu Ping, the gentle and kind teaching and research team leader, warmly received us. Without too much showing off and greeting, we were arranged directly into the classroom and started the lecture for one day. The first section is the weekly lecture and evaluation class taught by teacher Chen Wei. He teaches junior students (equivalent to the sixth grade of primary school). Don't underestimate these students who have only been in school for more than a month. They express themselves in English throughout the class, and their spoken English is fluent and authentic, and their vocabulary is particularly large. Please note that this is a lecture and evaluation class! This seems incredible to us, but it is presented to us at this moment. Teacher Chen is strict and humorous. Questions inspire children's thinking, and also guide them to explore the skills behind the answers and deeply understand the text.

In one episode, when a girl raised her hand on the stage to share the answer, she said, "Can I speak Chinese?" The result was flatly rejected by Mr. Chen. The teacher's eyes are encouragement and persistence. The girl stood awkwardly for a while and finally spoke in English. Finally, after the girl blushed, everyone gave her the warmest applause.

? A short class reflects the excellence of international students, the rigor of overseas teachers, humanistic feelings and high standards of teaching management. This is also a portrayal of many classrooms outside.

In the next few days, we listened to many lectures, participated in the activities of the grade teaching and research group, observed and expanded activities ... strolled in the beautiful and busy campus. The students here are active in thinking and knowledgeable. The teachers here are skilled, knowledgeable and versatile. Every corner here has the power to educate people ... It seems that there are surprises and discoveries every day, and there are a series of thoughts and reflections every day. Here, it is a beautiful educational environment for teachers and students to achieve together.

On the last day, the beautiful and elegant teacher Zhu Ping came to us again in his busy schedule. She kindly said goodbye to us, humbly asked for our opinions, and apologized for not spending too much time with us recently, which made us very moved. The outside world gives us not only ideas and knowledge, but also a broad vision and pattern of pragmatic innovation, respect and tolerance.

(1) In each class, the teacher's courseware is consistent and the progress is unified. The difference lies in the teacher's specific handling method and the height of guiding students' thinking.

And if you sneak into any classroom, the progress of the courseware is similar. In the teachers' lounge, you can always see teachers in groups of 351 discussing lesson preparation in front of the computer. Teacher Zhu introduced that each lesson preparation group conducts collective teaching and research once a week, and a main researcher prepares lessons according to the courseware handed down, and then the whole group brainstorms and makes fine adjustments. For example, the sixth grade lesson preparation is on Monday afternoon. As for the teaching and research group, it is convened by the teaching and research group leader, not once a week. Because there will be great differences between classes, we won't compare the results of each class too much. However, at noon, the English teachers will rush to the classroom to endorse and personally coach. It's really hard to be a teacher in the outside world.

(3) Teachers in the world are of high quality, and everyone speaks pure and fluent spoken English. But also has its own teaching methods and rich teaching experience. The picture below shows Mr Alina Zhang. There seems to be something wrong with her computer in class, so this elegant senior calmly took a native class without a computer, which is like a natural thing in one go. Students are still active in thinking and teachers are still asking questions. Finally, don't forget to improve your emotional goal: Are they happy? Being busy is not a bad thing, it means that you are needed, or you are on the way to your dream. That's great. It seems that the ideological connotation of English has penetrated into the bone marrow of teachers and children and will not change because of external conditions.

In the picture below, the teacher is talking about the history of Impressionism in western oil paintings. He is bilingual, humorous and handy in telling the story behind each painting, saying "MANET ……", which caused the audience to burst into laughter. Those of us who know nothing about art stop to listen and are reluctant to leave. Later, we learned that he is an English teacher who loves oil painting and has many masterpieces. He is really versatile and hidden.

Needless to say, although the school has not been established for a long time, Shiwai, with its excellent teachers and strong strength, as well as the pragmatic enterprising of several generations, has created a deep foundation and a strong sense of belonging in Shiwai, ranking among the famous schools in Shanghai and giving enthusiasm and strength to everyone who approaches her. When you witness the vitality here, you will feel a yearning and respect.

Although there are differences in regional environment and school-running mechanism, it is impossible for us to copy the teaching mode and management mode in the world, and it is impossible to have such carefully selected high-quality students. But we can learn from these excellent teachers their serious and pragmatic attitude towards life, explore and innovate, and constantly improve their professional level and quality. From blindly pursuing achievements to paying more attention to the cultivation of students' English core literacy, students can acquire and express information and ideas better and form cultural character by mastering English as a tool, which is broader.

(1) I used to deal with weekend exams very rudely. Read the answer once and finish the task. And I'm going back to try the weekly newspaper, which will be released on Monday, with more detailed handling and strengthened expansion.

(2) Fully tap the picture information of teaching materials. Pictures serve the topic and target language knowledge, and also inspire students' thinking and cultivate cultural character. Therefore, we should carefully analyze and extract the information that can be used or expanded in this course.

(3) Strengthen the analysis of the reading text, dig out the most valuable information from it, and deal with it pertinently. Even the same text can be treated differently according to the function, theme and writing method of each paragraph, so as to maximize the value of the text and make it a writing model with similar themes and genres for students to learn from, enlighten their thinking and cultivate their cultural awareness and character.

Conclusion The trip to Shanghai outside the world was full of harvest, and I walked into the educational paradise quite accidentally, which made me feel relaxed and happy, and I got a glimpse of the beauty of teaching outside the world and the specialty of famous teachers outside the world.
