1. The attending physician fills in the application form as required and sends it to the EEG room. The indications of EEG examination are epilepsy, intracranial space occupying lesions, cerebrovascular diseases, brain trauma, acute and chronic poisoning or metabolic encephalopathy.

2. Stop using all kinds of nerve stimulants and sedatives (including traditional Chinese medicine) the day before the examination and the day before the examination, and it is not easy to stop taking antiepileptic drugs for a long time, but the name and dosage of the drugs should be indicated.

3. Wash your scalp the day before check and avoid using head oil.

4. Check within 3 hours after meals. If you can't eat on an empty stomach, you can take 50g of sugar orally or inject 40ml of 50% glucose solution intravenously.

5. Infants and patients who can't cooperate should be given sedatives and doses by the applicant doctor, and checked after falling asleep.

6. Don't wear too much when checking. Sweaters and chemical fiber clothes often produce electrostatic interference, so it is best to take them off when checking.
