Sichuan Rural Credit Cooperatives Association (hereinafter referred to as Sichuan Rural Credit Cooperatives) was established on June 28th, 2005, and assumed the functions of management, guidance, coordination and service for the rural credit cooperatives in the whole province. Established at the official level, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Sichuan Provincial People's Government performs the investor's duties on behalf of the provincial party committee and government.
Up to now, Sichuan Rural Credit Cooperatives have more than 40,000 employees, county-level cooperatives 174 and 6 147 outlets, which shoulder the heavy responsibility of providing financial services to more than 68 million farmers in Sichuan Province and become an important support for rural economic development.
