How to choose a good painting training class for children?
Because of my field of work, I will naturally become a careful observer when I accompany my children to participate in the course audition of art training institutions. Unfortunately, in some painting classes, I have witnessed such pictures: some children were criticized as "not drawing correctly" because they did not draw according to the teacher's drawing method on the blackboard; Some children were scolded by the teacher because of their uncoordinated movements when they were young and spilled paint on the floor; Some children are careful when using paints, for fear of being criticized as "waste" by teachers. Perhaps it is because the operation of a painting training class needs to take into account various assessments such as teaching evaluation, cost evaluation and health evaluation, so there are so many rules and regulations. However, children will not understand these truths. They will only notice from various signs that painting is a very troublesome and not free thing.

A basic consideration for a good painting class is to let children paint freely. However, there are not many painting classes that can really do this. If a child is afraid of painting when painting, or has no enthusiasm for painting, and the painting is very rigid, it must not be the child's fault, but the painting training has gone wrong.

Some common misunderstandings are mainly manifested in the following aspects:

Excessive demonstration in teaching

Some painting classes will teach children to draw stick figures, telling them to draw circles on their heads and straight lines on their limbs. What will happen? It is easy to guess that the children are drawing the same stick figure.

Many children's paintings called "excellent" by parents are "qualified products" produced in such a standardized "workshop" according to a specific process. Once children have mastered these skilled techniques, they are no longer willing to observe things carefully. They are not free to create paintings with their own style, but use the tried and tested "routines" they have learned to skillfully show their painting skills to people. It is a pity that children are "masters of painting" and should have created "works of art".

Lack of cultivation of perceptual ability

What we call perceptual ability is the ability to obtain information by observing the outside world. What we call expressive ability is the ability to express one's feelings. Because perception precedes performance, the cultivation of perception precedes the cultivation of performance skills. However, the former is often neglected.

The focus of many painting classes is to teach children how to "show the picture" and rarely to teach them how to "perceive". They rarely even leave enough time and freedom for their children to feel. Why do you ignore the cultivation of "perceptual ability"? First, it takes more time and energy to improve children's perception, so that it can work slowly. Second, because the perception ability is what we regard as the quality level, even if education is effective, it is difficult to quantify and evaluate. In contrast, it is easier to teach children the skills of picture expression in a short time. When children finish a painting class and hand in a "beautiful answer sheet" to their parents, they will be beaming and praise the painting class for teaching well.

However, it must be noted that too many expressions will make children's pictures appear "premature". A good children's painting must not be full of all kinds of expressive skills, but should be full of innocence and simplicity that match his age.

If parents can't find a reliable painting class, then they should personally participate in their children's painting enlightenment. Because the "fate" of children's painting enlightenment is still in our own hands, which is more practical and reliable. If you must choose a painting class, then choose a painting class that can take children as the main body, pay attention to children, appreciate children and know how to interfere less.
