1, different predecessors

Tsinghua University Institute of Economics and Management, formerly known as Tsinghua University Department of Economics, was founded in 1984, which enrolls both undergraduates and postgraduates. Tsinghua Wudaokou Finance College, formerly known as graduate department of China People's Bank, was founded on 20 12, so Wudaokou Finance College only recruits graduate students, not undergraduates.

2. The emphasis of teaching projects is different.

Wudaokou in Tsinghua is more inclined to finance teaching. Wudaokou's teaching programs include doctor of finance, master of finance (full-time), master of finance (technology transfer), double-degree financial MBA, financial EMBA, global financial GSFD, and executive education. Wudaokou's teaching projects are all based on the training of financial talents; Tsinghua Institute of Economics and Management is a comprehensive college with a master's degree in finance, a master's degree in accounting, a master's degree in management and so on.

3. Different courses and teachers.

Wudaokou College follows the traditional characteristic courses of graduate department, People's Bank of China, including China's financial system analysis, banking supervision and management of commercial banks, capital market, insurance market and other special courses. It is taught directly by tutors, alumni, government decision makers and senior executives of financial institutions, and the content is closely related to practice and the latest development trends.

The course teachers of the School of Economics and Management are composed of academic professors and industry elites. Academic teachers include not only excellent teachers from Tsinghua Institute of Economics and Management, but also professors from famous universities in the United States and Hongkong. There are 1/3 courses taught by elites in the financial industry, who come from excellent domestic investment banks, commercial banks, PE and VC companies and financial regulatory agencies.

4. The employment direction is different.

The graduates of Tsinghua Institute of Economics and Management go to various places, such as consulting with foreign investment banks, private placement of securities companies in the head office, three meetings in a row, headquarters of central enterprises, etc. Wudaokou is concentrated in the domestic financial field, with a line of three meetings slightly more than management and many financial institutions.
