What is locking/marking?

When the equipment or tools are being repaired or cleaned, the power supply is cut off and the equipment or tools cannot be moved. All energy sources (electricity, hydraulic pressure, air pressure, etc. ) It's all off. The purpose is to ensure that no one is injured when working next to the machine.

Locking is to ensure that once the device is turned off, it will remain in a safe state. Locking helps prevent people from accidentally starting the equipment and causing injury or death.

Why use locks/tags?

How to use locks/tags?

Step 1: Prepare

Prepare to turn off the power. Identify energy types (electric energy, mechanical energy ...) and their potential hazards. Put the isolation device in place and prepare the light energy ratio.

Step 2: Notice

Notify operators and supervisors who may be affected by the isolated machine of the work being done.

Step 3: Close

Turn off the equipment or machine.

Step 4: Lock.

Lock all energy sources with the appropriate master locking device to shut down the equipment or machine. Locking ensures that no one can open the switch or valve. The main lock locks the warning label to prevent accidental operation.

Step 5: Test

Test all machine controls and circuits to ensure complete energy isolation.

Step 6: Maintenance

For maintenance.

Step 7: Restore normal operation.

When all work is completed and the locking/marking device is released, please confirm that all tools and mechanical circuit locking devices have been removed. Please be sure to inform all workers before re-supplying energy.
