TOEIC is an English proficiency test designed by the Education Examination Service Center for people who use English to communicate in an international working environment.
Every year, more than 5 million people take the TOEIC test in 150 countries, and more than 10000 international companies or institutions recognize and use the TOEIC test results. Because TOEIC test can make a fair and objective measurement of people's ability to communicate in English, it has become the top professional English ability assessment in the world today.
TOEIC scores ranged from 10 to 999. What standards a candidate should meet is entirely up to the company or enterprise. For example, if a multinational company wants to recruit a cleaner, it may only need the applicant's TOEIC score of 20, because their work does not require high English communication skills. If the company recruits a marketing manager, it may require the applicant to have a toeic score of 900.
The International Communication English Test is used to test the daily English ability of people from non-English-speaking countries in the international environment, aiming at measuring the proficiency of candidates in using English in the international business environment. Therefore, TOEIC tests are different from those that focus on the ability to use English in an academic environment.
