To edit a video file, you must first have material, and video (picture) is the most basic material. The material must be imported into the timeline for editing. There are two main ways to import material:
One is to import into the material library. Click the "Media" icon-"Import Media File" icon in the upper right corner window, then find the material file, click the file, and then click Open. At this point, a small icon of the material file will appear on the material library window. Click the file icon and drag it to the video track for editing.
The second is to import the video track directly. The method is to right-click the video track, select Insert Video or Picture in the dialog box, find the material file, and click Open. The video file will be directly added to the video track.
(Simple editing: After importing the video into the video track, use the scissors tool in the preview window to cut the video. After cutting off both ends of the unwanted video, right click-click "Delete" in the menu that appears, and other videos will be automatically and seamlessly linked to the timeline).
