Lanzhou, referred to as "Lan" or "Gao", was called Jincheng in ancient times. It is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Gansu Province. It is the capital of Gansu Province, the center of politics, culture, economy, science and education, and an important central city in the western region. The capital of Gansu Province was confirmed by the State Council. Lanzhou is high in the west and low in the south, and low in the northeast. The Yellow River flows from southwest to northeast, across the whole territory and across mountains, forming a beaded valley with alternating valleys and basins.
The canyons include Bapan Gorge, Chaijia Gorge, Sangyuan Gorge, Daxia Gorge and Wujin Gorge. The basins include Xincheng basin, Lanzhou basin, Niwan-Ishikawa basin and Qingcheng-Shuichuan basin. There are Huangshui Valley, Zhuanglang Valley, Yuanchuan Valley and Datong Valley.

Kyushu station 1
Jiuzhoutai is one of the thickest places on the Loess Plateau. Boarding Jiuzhoutai and overlooking Jiuqu Yellow River, the bustling city is in front of you, which perfectly integrates the prosperity and beautiful scenery of Lanzhou, a modern city. Legend has it that Dayu guided rivers and accumulated mountains, passed through Lanzhou, boarded this station, inspected the water regime of the Yellow River, made a water control plan, and designated China as Kyushu, hence the name Kyushu Station.
2. Lanzhou Museum of Chinese Studies
Lanzhou Museum of Chinese Studies is established by relying on the ancient buildings of Confucian Temple in Gaolan County, a municipal cultural relics protection unit. The name of the museum was inscribed by Mr. Tsung i Jao, a master of Chinese studies. There are stone tablets of Tao Te Ching, stone carvings with classic patterns of Han Wadang, and the wall of the Eight Diagrams Monument of the Book of Changes, which show the blooming and glory of a hundred schools of thought. There are 40 statues of traditional Chinese studies in the pass, including doctor Hua Tuo, writer Su Shi and astronomer Zhang Heng, all of which attract people's attention. It shows the elegant demeanour of the leading figures of various schools of thought in China in various periods.
