Development Status of Intellectual Property College of Shanghai University
Intellectual Property Institute is one of the two earliest intellectual property institutes in China universities (the other is Peking University Intellectual Property Institute). It is a law school that conducts law teaching and research, featuring the teaching and research of intellectual property law. There are intellectual property law department, foreign economic law department, enterprise law department and comparative law research center, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan law research center. In addition to undergraduate teaching, the college also has three master's degree awarding points, namely, Constitution and Administrative Law, Legal Theory and Criminal Law, to train graduate students. Since the establishment of 1994, the Intellectual Property Institute has trained nearly 1,000 undergraduates in eight disciplines. Since 1996, hundreds of graduate students have been and are being trained, involving philosophy of law, legal culture, sociology of law, legal methodology, criminology, criminal law protection of intellectual property rights, judicial psychology, comparative administrative law, intellectual property law, finance and tax law, constitution and citizenship; At the same time, in-service postgraduate courses in intellectual property management and intellectual property courses for the whole school were held, which trained tens of thousands of intellectual property talents for the society. At present, the college undertakes the teaching tasks and related scientific research work of more than 500 undergraduates and nearly 1,000 undergraduates in the first and second years of law school. The college has nearly 100 graduate students and hundreds of adult students. Over the years, dozens of basic courses of law, professional basic courses and intellectual property rights have been offered at five levels, including undergraduate courses, double majors, postgraduate courses, on-the-job postgraduate courses and training courses, and a number of scientific research works with theoretical significance and application value have been completed.

The college has an excellent faculty with professors and associate professors as the backbone and rich experience in teaching, scientific research and judicial practice, and has undertaken a number of national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects and legislative topics of municipal legislatures. Intellectual Property Institute is the earliest undergraduate teaching unit in China to recruit students to study and study intellectual property law and management. The Department of Foreign Economic Law of Chung Yuan Christian University was the earliest unit in Shanghai to resume and carry out law teaching and research after the Cultural Revolution. In the past two decades, it has trained a large number of outstanding legal talents for the judicial department, and many famous judges, prosecutors and lawyers in Shanghai have graduated from this department. ?

The college attaches importance to academic research and discipline construction, and to cultivating students' ability to analyze and think about problems with legal knowledge. By conducting speech contests, debate contests and mock court trials, students' agile thinking, reaction ability and eloquence are cultivated. Students will be proficient in a foreign language. The college employs a group of famous scholars and experts at home and abroad as part-time professors, and invites foreign experts and scholars to give lectures and carry out academic exchanges. The employment orientation of law graduates from Intellectual Property College is mainly courts, procuratorates, law firms, patent and trademark offices, government administrative departments at all levels, customs, border inspection, foreign trade departments, foreign-funded enterprises, banks and other enterprises and institutions.
