People should have three lives.
Life, life and mission
And these three correspond to the survival needs of ordinary people.
The life needs of excellent people and the responsibility needs of excellent people.
This is the speaker of this lecture, Professor lin li from the Department of Public Physical Education, who put forward a pre-emptive proposition for the next lecture. The theme that Professor lin li brought to you this time is "ignite dreams and set sail for youth". The main purpose is to promote volunteers, volunteer service and volunteer spirit, and tell you the same name-volunteers.
Willing to own you
Volunteer service should be the fashion pursued by college students and the connotation and significance of volunteer spirit. Professor lin li said: "Volunteers represent hope, determination or desire." He introduced the names of volunteers from the United Nations, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and abroad. Although the names are different, they have their own characteristics: they do not serve the society and others for the purpose of material reward, but serve the society and others based on their conscience and their own free will. Professor lin li also explained the types of volunteers from different categories, such as experts and non-experts, full-time and part-time, professional and auxiliary.
free service
"Volunteer service is also motivated. Volunteers' motivations include five motivations: helping people in need, giving play to their strengths, learning new skills, feeling the value of their existence, and feeling that volunteer work is meaningful." These are also the meanings of voluntary service. Although voluntary service is voluntary, it still has its own rights and obligations in related work.
"Volunteers have the following rights 15: equality with other members, distribution of work according to work, knowledge and understanding of policies, training and education, and obligations 1 1 to abide by national laws, organizational rules, maintain organizational dignity, and complete work on time with good quality and quantity." In order to make everyone have a more thorough understanding of these, Professor lin li explained them through a series of examples.
Professor Lin believes that rights can be divided into three levels: the first level is to consider free service, the second level is to obtain rights based on membership of voluntary service organizations, and the third level is to obtain rewards from the government and society.
strive to develop
"Volunteer service is also a way to transmit positive energy in the new era." In the second part of the lecture, Professor lin li still explained to you energetically. "Volunteer service is characterized by its voluntariness, gratuitousness, altruism and publicity; Value is embodied in social value, economic value, cultural value, spiritual value, self-development value and service object value. " According to these core contents, the world voluntary service has developed vigorously, and many influential volunteer organizations have emerged, such as the China Red Cross Society and the Youth Volunteers Federation.
Because many students are doing volunteer activities in Fujian Province, Professor lin li specially told you about the evolution of volunteer service in Fujian Province and introduced the development and achievements of our school in volunteer service. At present, Minjiang College has 24 volunteer service teams and 48 off-campus volunteer service bases, and has carried out more than 90 volunteer service projects with a total of more than 60,000 times, winning the 11th China Youth Volunteer Excellent Organization Award and other awards.
have a long history
Although the word volunteer is imported, it also has its roots in China culture. For example, Confucianism's benevolence thought, Taoism's "accumulate virtue and do good", Buddhism's "compassion", Mohism's "love without attacking" and so on. In any case, the essence of volunteerism is inseparable from dedication, love, mutual assistance and progress. The new era also needs the spirit of volunteerism, because it is the absorption of the achievements of human civilization, the inheritance and development of China's traditional culture, and the link between China and the world. In addition, building a harmonious society, building a socialized platform for moral practice, and consolidating the cornerstone of the popularization of core values also require volunteerism to play a role.
realized value
As one of the most dynamic groups in society, college students should devote themselves to voluntary service and realize their own value. As Professor lin li said, "People, living in the world, shoulder their own responsibilities, complete their own missions ... and embody their own values!" Chen Xinyi, a student who attended the lecture, said that more similar lectures should be held. One can learn more about society and keep in touch with it, and the other can increase the fun outside of study.
