Yangquan College of Taiyuan University of Technology is an ordinary institution of higher learning with economy, management and law as its main subjects. Attached to the Education Department of Shanxi Province, 200 1 was approved by the people's government of Shanxi Province, and it was jointly run with Taiyuan University of Technology, the only key construction project in Shanxi Province that entered the national "2 1 1". The college has eight teaching departments, including information engineering and automation department, architectural engineering department, economic and trade department, mechanical and electronic engineering department, resource development department, social science department, basic department and sports department.
