Founded in 1946, the school was formerly a "nursing school" run by "Bethune International Peace Hospital Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan General Hospital". 1986 was upgraded to an undergraduate college and renamed "Changzhi Medical College". 20 12 was approved by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee, and became a postgraduate training unit of the first-class discipline of clinical medicine.
As of June 20 18 and 10, it covers an area of 965.20 mu (including two directly affiliated hospitals) and has a building area of 327,000 square meters. At present, there are 20 teaching units, offering 18 undergraduate majors (including direction), 8 specialist majors and various adult education majors, and jointly training graduate students with well-known universities in China.
