With the comprehensive promotion of the new curriculum reform, English teaching in our school has been highly valued and strongly supported by school leaders, which has enabled us to have a higher understanding and orientation of our work. To this end, we put forward such a general requirement, that is, "centering on the overall promotion of basic education curriculum reform, focusing on subject research, focusing on deepening classroom teaching, working hard, pioneering and enterprising, effectively improving the level of teaching and scientific research, and striving to serve the comprehensive implementation of quality education in our school." In the specific work, we focus on the following aspects:
First, pay attention to theoretical study and improve the level of education and teaching.
Only by constantly improving teachers' own cultural quality and theoretical level can we better serve teaching. This semester, our group of teachers combined with the actual situation of English teaching in our school, learned the new curriculum standards and other related educational documents and teaching theories. Through learning, we have made clear the main objectives of the new curriculum reform, strengthened the sense of responsibility and urgency of the curriculum reform, organized classroom teaching according to students' learning interests, life experience and cognitive level, and advocated learning methods and task-based teaching methods of experience, practice, participation, cooperation and communication, which achieved good results.

Second, strengthen routine requirements and standardize teaching work.
The whole group of teachers standardize their teaching work according to the requirements of teaching routine. We carefully analyzed the differences between the new curriculum standards and the original syllabus, further clarified the English teaching objectives, tasks and requirements of each grade, and grasped the knowledge context of each grade from a macro perspective. The lower grades focus on the cultivation of study habits. On this basis, middle school students should strengthen the guidance and cultivation of their writing habits. Senior students pay attention to the cultivation of reading, writing and comprehensive ability. In the review process, we should pay attention to checking for missing items, guiding students to sort out the knowledge structure horizontally and vertically, and paying attention to cultivating students' innovative thinking and the stability of exam-oriented psychology. In teaching, we should flexibly adjust according to the actual situation of students in each class, combine the characteristics of English teaching, and take individual counseling as an opportunity to effectively improve students' English learning and application ability. In addition, we encourage students to actively contact English in and out of school, and use multimedia teaching resources to help students learn English and understand the culture of English-speaking countries, so as to cultivate their hobbies and interests in English.
Third, implement the teaching objectives of each grade.
The third grade is the third grade, and the students are all "a blank sheet of paper", so there is no way to start with classroom language and study habits. Therefore, the guidance of teachers is particularly important. The task of grade six is the heaviest and most difficult. First of all, from the cultivation of students' reading skills and the training of problem-solving thinking, step by step, a semester has achieved good results.
In teaching and research activities, all grades can discuss and communicate with each other seriously and express their views and opinions freely in view of their own problems and puzzles in education and teaching. This exchange of teaching experience and the collision of thinking sparks not only promoted the improvement of everyone's teaching level, but also greatly enhanced the cohesion of teachers as a group. At the same time, it also conforms to the educational requirements of the new era, which makes everyone embark on the road of teaching and scientific research and creates a harmonious and strong scientific research atmosphere.
In order to better improve the quality of English teaching, we unify unit test papers and exercises according to the actual situation of students in English learning, so as to grasp the unity of teaching materials and teaching objectives and remedy problems in time. According to the requirements of the syllabus, teachers should first make the class clear and the units clear, and answer questions for students at any time to provide guarantee for improving the teaching quality.
Fourth, do a good job in open class teaching and strive to improve teaching ability.
Classroom teaching is the main position of teaching work, and it is our ultimate goal to improve the effectiveness of classroom teaching, cultivate students' interest in learning and improve their academic performance. For this reason, this semester, our group arranged 4 open classes, 4 "in-class classes" and 1 demonstration classes, which formed a good atmosphere of "comparing, catching up and learning" in the group. While actively learning the teaching theory, we should practice the basic teaching skills, encourage each other and make progress together from the aspects of classroom teaching organization, method optimization and situation creation. We also often carry out the activities of "attending classes-preparing lessons collectively-attending classes-collectively evaluating classes", so that teachers can "learn one lesson at a time": find out the characteristics of their own classes, find out their own shortcomings in teaching, accept the opinions and suggestions put forward by teachers with an open mind, constantly improve teaching methods and strive to improve teaching quality. Through these activities, we can learn from each other's strengths, discuss teaching gains and losses, and effectively promote the improvement of teachers' professional ability.
