Shandong Medical College, referred to as Shandong Medical College for short, is a provincial full-time ordinary higher public school with a three-year academic system, which belongs to the Health Department of Shandong Province, and the Education Department of Shandong Province is the competent department of education. Shandong Medical College was formerly known as Shandong Health School founded by 1954 and Linyi Medical College founded by 1966. In June 2005, the two universities merged into Shandong Medical College.
Shandong Medical College has two campuses, Linyi and Jinan. Its headquarters is located in Linyi City, Shandong Province, and Jinan Campus is located at the northern foot of Wanling Mountain in the southern suburbs of Jinan City. The school has clinical medicine department, nursing department and stomatology department.

Shandong College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, formerly known as Laiyang Traditional Chinese Medicine School, was founded in June 1958, and was renamed Yantai Traditional Chinese Medicine School in February 65438 of the same year. In May 2004, it was upgraded to Shandong College of Traditional Chinese Medicine with the approval of the Ministry of Education. The school has departments of traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture and massage, traditional Chinese medicine and nursing.
