If you want to work in science and engineering in the future, it has nothing to do with English. In fact, there is no need to take English training classes. But in fact, applying for TOEFL, IELTS, or English proficiency test training courses in China, and getting a certificate, will be more or less helpful for some future work needs and going abroad. If you just want to improve your English, I suggest you sign up for a training class, focusing on oral English. If you want to improve your written test ability, the easiest thing is to do the previous English test paper or simulation paper.
