Cambridge children's English proficiency test
Cambridge Children's English (CYLE) is an examination system integrating training, assessment and certification, which was introduced and sponsored by the Examination Center of the Ministry of Education from the Examination Committee of Cambridge University. Cambridge children's English learning system is divided into three levels: beginners, movers and fliers, that is to say, children learn to master and use English from the beginning to the gradual promotion of movers until the final take-off fliers. We call it Grade One, Grade Two and Grade Three for short.

Cambridge children's English learning system focuses on learning and training, starting with cultivating children's basic English language ability and sense of language, cultivating students' English language thinking ability and establishing self-confidence and sense of honor in English learning. The learning characteristics of this system are "basic-easy-interesting-practical-continuous", and it is connected with the English Test Band 5 of Cambridge University Examination Committee.

At present, the Cambridge Children's English Grade Test Certificate and the Public English Level 2 Certificate have become the qualifications for Shanghai primary school students to take the entrance examination of key middle schools. Among them, the public English test is mainly based on English knowledge, which requires students to master a lot of grammar knowledge. Cambridge children's English test focuses on students' English conversation ability, so that children can learn to observe, communicate and express. Therefore, children can constantly open themselves up in the communication background set by teachers in their studies.

Each level of the Cambridge exam is divided into three parts: listening, written and oral. Each part is mainly based on pictures, and it is tested by looking at the pictures. The examination questions are based on the first-level title, and a question reflecting different abilities is added to the second-level and third-level exams respectively. Its question type has formed a system of combining perceptual cognition, observation ability and English conversation ability, so it will not change much in recent years.
