Guiyang Railway Engineering School was established in July, 1984. Its predecessor was the Party School of the Fifth Engineering Bureau of the Ministry of Railways. Founded in 1979, it was formed by the merger of 1999 Fifth Bureau Party School and Guiyang Railway Technical School. In 2004, the Party School was renamed China Railway Fifth Bureau (Group) Training Center. Now our school is a national key senior technical school and a provincial key secondary vocational school with a team.

The school has been merged and renamed several times, and has been affiliated to China Railway Fifth Bureau (Group) Company.
