Hengshui Lake International Marathon is an international marathon event approved by the State Sports General Administration. It is held once a year in September from 20 12. This is also the only real event around the lake in China. 20 19 was named "double gold event" by IAAF, becoming the ninth marathon in China to be named "double gold event".

Hengshui Lake International Marathon is held on Hengshui Lake every September. The starting point, the finishing point and the main track are all selected in the beautiful Hengshui Lake. Hengshui has gathered many high-level players at home and abroad. Hengshui Lake Wetland is a typical and scarce national important wetland and the largest freshwater lake in northern China. It has many reputations such as "the most beautiful wetland in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei", "the first lake in southern Beijing" and "the green pearl of North China".
